The "Coffee by Coffee" course is a comprehensive online training course for veterinarians . It offers extensive knowledge on the physiology, anatomy, diagnosis, and treatment of guinea pig diseases, as well as practical tips for daily care.

The first part of the online course covers the basics of keeping guinea pigs at home . Participants will learn about their origins, physiology, herd life, nutrition, and care.

The following lessons focus on a detailed clinical examination of the caviar . The course includes instructions on the history, general physical examination, detailed examination, and additional tests. You will also learn techniques for performing tests such as X-rays, ultrasound, microbiological examinations, and dental diagnostics. You will also gain knowledge on laboratory tests such as urinalysis and blood tests.

The following sections of the course provide a detailed discussion of the most common diseases affecting guinea pigs . These include skin conditions, respiratory, cardiac, urinary, and reproductive systems. The course provides tools for recognizing symptoms, diagnosing, and treating the most common conditions.

The entire course is based on solid theoretical knowledge, complemented by practical tips and recommendations that will allow you to effectively care for the health of your patients.

Online course program (total duration approx. 7 hours)

• Environmental conditions, varieties, diet, flock in the context of the impact on physical and mental health, cage size and equipment, bedding, calcium metabolism, vitamin C metabolism, oily eye.

• Specific anatomy and physiology of the guinea pig: penile bone, accessory sex glands, teeth, paws – number of toes, lungs, uterine structure, sex, jointing, vocalizations, cecotrophs, digestive tract, soft palate, anal sinus, preputial cavity in females, caudal gland, lacrimal puncta, superficial lymph nodes and the fatty tissue around them, trichobezoars, overheating, nasal breather.

• Step-by-step clinical examination, additional tests (X-ray, ultrasound, blood test, urine test, bacteriology) – examination techniques, what to test, norm ranges – book and authorial.

• The most common diseases of guinea pigs and their treatment: respiratory tract infections, otitis, dental diseases, cardiological diseases, lymphoma.

• Skin problems (parasites, mycosis, sebaceous cysts, pododermatitis), urinary tract diseases, hyperthyroidism, ovarian cysts.
