Workshop program:
Saturday - Vet Dr. P. Klimiuk
1. Oval cell tumors:
– Cutaneous histiocytoma.
– Cutaneous plasmacytoma
– Mastocytoma of dogs and cats
– Transmissible venereal tumor (TVT)
2. Lymph node cytology:
– Hyperplasia
- Inflammation
– Metastatic changes
– Lymphomas
3. Cytology of body cavity fluids:
– Transudation
– Modified transudate
– Aseptic/septic inflammatory exudate
– Tumor-related effusion
4. Practical classes:
– Microscopic evaluation of cytological preparations of the above-mentioned lesions.
Sunday - Dr. K. Mróz, Veterinary Physician
1. Hematooncology:
- changes in blood in cancer diseases
-anemia/thrombocytopenia/changes in the WBC picture - clinical approach in oncology
– blasts and atypical cells in the blood/microscopic image of the most common leukemias
2. Bone marrow examination:
– indications and contraindications
– basics of bone marrow cytology
– microscopic image of the most common pathologies
– interpretation of results
3. Flow cytometry:
– Result interpretation/additional tests recommended
oncological hematology.
4. Practical classes:
– Microscopic evaluation of cytological preparations.

✓ The workshops are intended for veterinarians, 5th and 6th year veterinary students and veterinary technicians.
✓ The participation fee includes: participation in the theoretical and practical training on Saturday and Sunday, unlimited access to hot and cold drinks during the training, refreshments during coffee breaks, lunch, and training materials in paper form.
✓ Practical part – independent work of each participant at the microscope under the supervision of the instructor.
✓ We reserve the right to cancel the workshop if a minimum of 10 participants is not reached.
✓ Each participant will receive a certificate of completion of the training and educational points.
