Module description:

This module is dedicated to fundamental and advanced aspects of dental imaging in rabbits and rodents. It focuses on equipment, positioning techniques, methodology for evaluating X-ray images, and radiological interpretation of pathological changes. It also discusses practical differences between conventional radiography and CBCT imaging.
Level: beginner → intermediate → advanced
For whom: veterinarians and technicians who want to perform and interpret dental X-rays at a clinical and surgical level.

1. Equipment for radiography of rabbits and rodents. X-ray positioning using a dental X-ray unit.
2. Evaluation of a single X-ray image and a full series. Methodology and main assumptions.
3. Interpretation of X-ray images – characteristics of pathology and disease diagnosis.
4. CBCT versus dental X-ray – when, how, and why?
