We invite you to participate in a new, comprehensive training series dedicated to behavioral medicine in a clinical context. The program has been created for veterinarians who want to better understand the relationship between a patient's behavior and their health status.

This is a practical training series that will help answer one of the key questions in daily clinical practice: is the observed problem behavioral, or does its source lie in a somatic illness?

During the webinar, we will focus on the relationship between chronic gastrointestinal discomfort, visceral pain, nausea, appetite disorders, food intolerances, inflammatory diseases, and gut microbiota, and dog behavior.

We will discuss, among other things, changes in appetite, food-seeking behaviors, coprophagy, eating inedible objects, excessive licking, compulsions, aggressive reactions, and avoidance behaviors. A particularly important element will be recognizing situations where a dog exhibits a "behavioral problem," but the underlying cause may be chronic gastroenterological discomfort.

During the webinar, we will talk about:

– The impact of gastrointestinal diseases on dog behavior

– The possible connection between the gut-brain axis and microbiota with emotions, arousal, and stress reactions

– Behaviors such as irritability, anxiety, arousal, sleep problems, and avoidance behaviors

– Changes in appetite, food seeking, coprophagy, and eating inedible objects

– Situations where a problem interpreted as behavioral may have a gastroenterological background

The webinar is intended exclusively for veterinarians.

In all webinars, the common thread is a clinical approach to the patient: when a change in behavior should prompt further somatic diagnostics, how not to miss pain or chronic discomfort, and how to combine medical and behavioral management.

The training will provide veterinarians with practical knowledge necessary for accurate differentiation of somatic problems from primary behavioral ones, directing diagnostics immediately to the correct path.
