WEBINAR LIVE (8/13)

Conducted by: DVM, PhD Martyna Woszczyło
Webinar start: July 6, 2026, 7:00 PM
Duration: 60 minutes

Due to unforeseen circumstances on the part of the presenter, we are forced to postpone the webinar until next week. The new date for the event is July 13, 2026, at 8:00 PM.

We sincerely apologize for the change and thank you for your understanding. All purchased access and previously sent organizational information remain valid.

We invite you to participate in a new, comprehensive training series dedicated to behavioral medicine in a clinical context. The program was created for veterinarians who want to better understand the relationship between a patient's behavior and their health status.

This is a practical training series that will help answer one of the key questions in daily clinical practice: is the observed problem behavioral in nature, or does its source lie in a somatic illness?

During the webinar, we will focus on the connection between gastrointestinal diseases, visceral pain, appetite disorders, chronic inflammation, gut microbiota, and stress, and their impact on cat behavior.

During the webinar, we will discuss:

– The impact of gastrointestinal diseases, visceral pain, nausea, and chronic discomfort on cat behavior

– Changes in appetite, food selectivity, food avoidance, and feeding-related behaviors

– Irritability, withdrawal, avoidance of contact, aggression when touched, and reduced activity

– Litter box problems that may be related to pain, discomfort, or gastrointestinal diseases

– The possible influence of the gut-brain axis, microbiota, and chronic inflammation on emotions, sleep, arousal, and stress responses

– Situations where a problem described as behavioral should prompt further gastroenterological diagnostics

Additional information about the webinar

The webinar is intended exclusively for veterinarians.

In all webinars, the common thread is a clinical perspective on the patient: when a change in behavior should prompt further somatic diagnostics, how not to miss pain or chronic discomfort, and how to combine medical and behavioral approaches.

The training will provide veterinarians with practical knowledge necessary for accurate differentiation of somatic problems from primary behavioral ones, directing diagnostics immediately to the correct path.

This is the eighth webinar in the "Behavioral Medicine in a Nutshell" series.
