Part I – Theoretical – ONLINE

Program
Theoretical Part (ONLINE):
Block I
- Endoscopy – general concepts
- Flexible endoscopy – construction, types, additional instruments, manual operation, organization of an endoscopy lab, cleaning
- Rigid endoscopy – construction, types, additional instruments, manual operation, cleaning

Block II
- Rhinoscopy – discussion, nasal cavity anatomy, anterior rhinoscopy, retroflex rhinoscopy, special procedures (incl. nasal aspergillosis, foreign body removal, polyps, neoplasms)
- Bronchoscopy – discussion, respiratory tract anatomy, pharynx, larynx, trachea, bronchi
- Special procedures (incl. laryngeal paralysis, tonsillectomy, tracheal and bronchial collapse, BAL, swabs)

Practical Part:
- Learning how to operate endoscopic equipment
- Demonstration examination performed by the lecturer
- Endoscopic examination on unfixed material in groups of 3
- Collecting material for testing, foreign body removal
- Basic surgical procedures performed during endoscopy

✓ The workshop is intended for veterinarians, veterinary technicians, and 5th and 6th-year veterinary students.
✓ Access to Part I – ONLINE will be granted 14 days before the stationary Part II, i.e., 09.05.2026.
✓ Participation includes: participation in the theoretical part (ONLINE) and the stationary practical part with unlimited access to cold and hot beverages, refreshments during coffee breaks, lunch, PDF materials*.
✓ The practical part will be conducted in groups of 3 using high-quality Storz endoscopes and unfixed specimens.
✓ We reserve the right to cancel the workshop if a minimum of 10 participants is not reached.
✓ Each participant will receive a certificate of completion and educational credits.
