We invite you to participate in a new, comprehensive training series dedicated to clinical behavioral medicine. The program was created for veterinarians who want to better understand the relationship between a patient's behavior and their health status.

This is a practical training series that will help answer one of the key questions in daily clinical practice: is the observed problem behavioral in nature, or does its source lie in a somatic illness?

This webinar will focus on patients with impaired vision, hearing, smell, and spatial orientation, as well as elderly patients whose behavioral changes may result from pain, chronic diseases, neurological disorders, cognitive deficits, or sensory changes.

We will focus on symptoms such as anxiety, disorientation, sleep disorders, vocalization, irritability, decreased touch tolerance, changes in relationships with people and other animals, house-soiling problems, and reduced flexibility in the animal's responses. We will also discuss how to adapt the environment and communication with geriatric or sensory-impaired patients to reduce frustration, anxiety, and the risk of conflicts.

During the webinar, we will discuss:

– The impact of impaired vision, hearing, smell, and spatial orientation on behavior

– Behavioral changes in geriatric patients resulting from pain, chronic diseases, and sensory limitations

– Symptoms such as anxiety, disorientation, vocalization, sleep disorders, and irritability

– Decreased tolerance to touch, social contact, and changes in the environment

– The basics of differentiating changes related to pain and cognitive disorders

– Adapting the environment and communication to the patient's needs
